NATIONAL POLICY FORUM
The Conversation on Coverage held a National Policy Forum in 2004 at which the Working Group recommendations were unveiled for the first time. These innovative concepts and common ground proposals to expand retirement savings were crafted by a wide range of experts who were tasked with answering the question of how to expand pension coverage for American workers.
Approximately 200 people attended the event at which Members of Congress presented remarks regarding the importance of the Conversation on Coverage and its goal of expanding pension coverage for American workers.
Held at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., The National Policy Forum was the culmination of the Second Stage of the Conversation on Coverage. Working Group members presented their recommendations to a broad group of stakeholders whose input was integrated into the interim recommendations contained in Covering the Uncovered.
